The Texas: Algebra Ready (TXAR) initiative exists to increase the preparedness of students to meet standards and pass assessments in algebra.

Screener
The ESTAR/MSTAR Universal Screener, used to help guide instructional decisions in relation to students' readiness for algebra, launches for winter administration on January 9, 2017 and will be available until February 10, 2017. The ESTAR/MSTAR Universal Screener can be accessed at http://mstar.epsilen.com.

Diagnostic
The ESTAR/MSTAR Diagnostic Assessments, designed to follow the ESTAR/MSTAR Universal Screener, launches for winter administration on January 16, 2017 and will be available until February 17, 2017. The ESTAR/MSTAR Diagnostic Assessments provide a next step in supporting and understanding the misconceptions of students struggling with Algebra-readiness. The ESTAR/MSTAR Diagnostic Assessments can be accessed at http://mstar.epsilen.com.
